Question about Toshiba Televison & Video
Toshiba Regza 40RF350U - half of my screen is basically dead... it seems like the picture somehow cannot "align". I'm basically watching half a tv. At first, the picture would be ok after about 5-10 minutes, but now it just never really comes on - it's a lot of lines/colors that kinda seem to match with what the colors should be but not really. the other half of the tv is perfectly fine.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

One of two things could be wrong.. One is the digital board and or connector. the second is that the LCD display is going bad..

unfortunately this is the display and it will cost as much or more than you paid for the set to have it fixed. You might can call Toshiba and see if they will help you with it. Is it less than a year old, if so it is still in warranty and they will have to fix it.

Go to menu on your remote control and select picture setting and try selecting "default" setting to seeif you like the color, if not adjust contrast to about two thirds of the way and brightness to your liking and color to about the middle.
