There is no trick no latch nothing did you force it in it does not go in backwards or I should say upside down...maybe the white tong in the socket broke and is wedged in there. never see that happen but anything is possible
Try pushing it is and wiggle it like a car key to dislodge it as you try to pull it out very gingerly does it work leave it there if it does. Consider it part of the permenant furniture

How do I install wireless mouse on my virgin telly tablet

Wireless mice come with a wee USB transceiver. You should be able to find one for U$20 or less for the least expensive model.
If Android 6.0 Marshmallow supports USB mice (which is the OS the Virgin Telly site says is running your unit), all you need to do is plug the transceiver into one of your USB ports, put batteries in the mouse, and start mousing it up. :)
I'm no Android expert, so I can't speak to the particulars of your OS, but normally an OS will tell you that it is installing a device when you plug it in for the first time.
Cheers, and good luck!

The red laser pointer underneath the mouse isn't coming on? put new batteries in and the receiver is showing the green light once plugged into my laptop.

I doubt the problem is the battery. I have this same mouse and it has worked beautifully for two years now EXCEPT for one problem: most of the time, the mouse does not turn on when the receiver is removed from the receptacle on the bottom of the mouse. There is a tiny little switch built into that receptacle, along the side wall of the receptacle not far from the light. I have to wiggle this little switch (gently!) by hand a few times until the light comes on. From that point, the mouse will work fine until the receiver is placed back in the receptacle.

Acer N745 stuck

The top should have a button to release the receiver (on the lower half). If pushing this does not release it, you can disassemble the mouse fairly easily (you do not even have to break the warranty seal). Removing the cover to install batteries, you should see two screws. Remove them. on the bottom, underneath the upper-left corner of the "Acer" sticker is the third screw. Once disassembled, if you look at the top, you should see two white "tabs" that when depressed should release the receiver. If this still does not release it, you can then remove the bottom half of the mouse and then lift (since it's inverted now) the tabs. Hope this helps!

Toshiba wireless mouse cursor not moving!

Try replacing the batteries or if it has rechargeable batteries, try removing and replacing them. Also clean the red lens on the bottom of the mouse with a cotton swab. Good luck!
