Question about Saeco Talea Giro Espresso Machine

Water leaks from the steam nozzel when brewing coffee

This is the second time I have had the problem. The first under warranty. Any idea how I can fix it (replace the O ring that is ) because it is painful to take it back again. I now believe this is a design defect which means it will continually occur so I may as well learn how to fix it myself

Have you asked for a new upgrade steam valve? The tap rod assemble is very easy to replace the hard part is getting the machine open.

Steam comes out the grouphead

It should not leak steam out of the grouphead. The three way valve is leaking.

First of all if it is new, get it fixed under warranty. The three way valve is a replaceable item.

On the other hand if you are like me, you can try a back flush with just a tiny bit of coffee machine detergent like "Joe-Glo". The directions might say not to do this but if it is my machine, it's my machine

  1. Get a rubber disk for back flushing. Any place that sells the detergent should sell the disk.
  2. Put the disk in the portafilter and add just a few grains of detergent.
  3. Install the portafilter and "brew" for about 20 seconds, then switch of for 15 seconds or so..
  4. Refill the water reservoir as needed.
  5. Repeat the "brew" cycle until you get "detergent water" in the catch pan. It may take 6 to 8 cycles.
  6. Remove the back flush disk from the portafilter, reinstall, and run a couple of normal 30 second brew cycles to flush detergent out the valve and grouphead.

If this was a coffee maker in service for a while and might have a water scale buildup, I would do the same thing but I would dissolve some citric acid in the water reservoir and descale the boiler, valve, and grouphead at the same time.

Gaggia Coffee Delux Steam pressure probem

1: do you pres the switch for steam and wait until it is ready? 2: how long time machine needs to be ready for steaming?
solution 1 = if you don't press the steam switch on you will have very small amount of steam. solution 2 = if the machine gets ready only for few seconds to steam, than you must change your steaming thermostat attached in boiler(there are 3 of them: 1 security 2 coffee brewing 3 steam
i hope you fix it soon and enjoy in perfect espresso

Saeco Odea Go - Hot water leaks from bottom of machine

That's leaking from the hoses coming out from the boiler,if the machine is new it should be still under warranty, may have to take it back to the service center. When making coffee the lines are under pressure and the water never have a chance to pass through the ground coffee.

Incanto Rapid Steam leaking water

If it only does that when you are brewing coffee, the only thing I can think of is the chamber under the white plastic valve. It would be the hose on the pump or else there would be water when using the steam or hot water cycle. Thats a tough one , the first thing I would check is the chamber under the valve, then if that is clean, I would open the machine to see if where else it would be from.

Water leaks from bottom of Saeco Caffe Charisma when brewing

Remove brew chamber, check the back of the white plastic valve make sure the chamber under it is clear of coffee grounds and water, then check the red o-ring on the brew chamber make sure there are no cracks or damaged spots.

Gaggia syncrony compact is leaking. Removed top and it appears it is leaking from the area that the line goes into the steam knob. Doesn't leak when using the steam knob, just when brew coffee

Hi What color is the steam manifold? It is located under the black cover with the trough in back under the whit tube. If its whit or black it probably needs to be replaced. If you cool down the manifold after steaming you can prevent this from happening. Just turn off the steam and then open the knob again to run water. It comes out steam at first but then will turn to a water stream. Then you can close the knob and go about brewing or just let it stand.

Water Spout Leaks after Brewing Coffee

You have to replace the gasket in your steam valve, if you have a steam valve in plastic i recomend you to replace it with a steam valve in metal.

Water leaking into machine

it's possible, like mine with the same problem, that one or more of the plastic feet under the water tank has broken, then making the tank move and upsetting the valve underneath. My one always leaks clean water, never dirty and I have a broken foot.
