Thin vertical red line

My sony bravia (32' lcd) has developed a thin vertical red line about 5 inches from the right side of the screen... it seems to ba about 1 mm thick on the bottom and fades near the top of the screen.How do I get rid of this artifact?

- The redline on the Sony TV, mine is the same. Sony service, I contacted. Remove the power from the TV for 1 minute, they suggested.The TV since I talked, no redline. Off and on it appears. Power removal, try, I have not. I will update if it goes away after the power removal.

- I have a Sony xbr4 that developed a thin vertical red line, that seems to be increasing in size over the last 2 days. Also just a couple of weeks out of 1 year warranty. When the tv is off, you can still see the line behind the glass. I am very sad.NH- Guest
