Blue scrolling bar continues or does that freeze too.
If not you booting with a cd in the drive is the HD light winking at you?
Is your HD fragmented to the point where you have less than 3/4 free space on it?

Dell latitude d600 can't click my start button

I would suspect , 1, you have to many startup programs, use CCLEANER at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ This freeware program will remove the junk from your Dell and in the TOOLS section, STARTUP section, disable ALL unnessary startup programs. 2, Download MALWAREBYTES freeware at : http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ Run a FULL Scam , Delete ALL results , Reboot. If you are using Windows XP use these tips: http://www.wikihow.com/Speed-up-a-Windows-XP-Computer You could consider more Memory, your machine supports up to 2GB's.

Philips mt1800 displays problems with startup

You can't fix that anymore, your windows copy is now "corrupted or impotent".
If it won;t work on safe mode, probably your system files are at a bad condition.
Recovery disc might get you to startup again, but if ever there is a virus it will just happen again.
I advise you to reformat if you don't have anymore files to save.
If ever there is, well... maybe get a linux live CD so you can browse through your hard disk again.
Hope I helped, cheers.

Dell d600 freezes intermittantly

sounds like the hard disk drive is slow to spin up. Sometimes older drives don't get all the way up to speed at boot, then with repeated restarts, the drive warms a bit and the spindle friction drops allowing full speed on the drive.
Try running HDD Diags the 1st boot of the day Fn +power button, see if you get any diag failure. Generally, a drive has to be within 3% of rated drive RPM (5400 or 7200) to function

Hi i am getting blue screen error in laptop

You have my sympathy :-( for you have gotten the THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!! The only true way to destroy this demon is to reinstall your operating system (Windows XP, Vista, etc.) But bcuz its a Dell you may get lucky =) Restart your pc, at the screen that shows the Dell icon press f8, this will take you to a screen with lots of options, scroll down till you get to Last Good Configuration or something to that effect. press enter and if your lucky, you will have defeated the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH LOL. Hope this was helpful. Good Luck =)

using the system restore disk, boot the laptop and choose repair, run chkdisk /r this repairs the system files, if this does not fix the problem, using the same system disk do a restore.
