Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main digital board./

Screen is dark and almost unwatchable when watching dark sceens adjusting brightness does not help

Unplug the tv and take the particle board cover off the back of the tv. Abive the chassis, you will see a panel with 2 gold screws in in... it is an access to the tube lenses. Remove this panel and sneak your hand and a soft cloth up in there. Wipe the dust off the top of the lenses. See if this helps, best wishes.

It was working fine then no picture dark sceen sound work fine

More information is required. Your backlight is lit (screen not dark) but I need to know what you have connected to the TV (your sources) and how they are connected. Does the menu/OSD (on screen display) work?

Seeing green du42px12x

I don't have a solution, but have a similar problem, when sceens change, red and green pixels form and create a burn in effect from the privious sceen. It happens after the TV has been on for at least an hour. I notice it most when goinf from a light to dark sceen. Any help would be great
