Hey there, the matching coil for your unit is a Model# CAPF4860C6A. The coil you have installed is a 13 seer where the condenser is a 14 seer. Myy guess at this point without being there is you have a hot house (80 psi suction) while eliminating more heat from the condenser (180 psi). I am also guessing you are using r-22? If you could post your super heat and subcool readings and if ou have a txv or fixed orifice (guessing txv?) I could help you pinpoint the problem.

I need to replace my Vizio 3642-1492-0150 main board. Might I use the Vizio 3642-1512-0150 instead? This WIll work for me? In a picture both cards look identical.

They aren't interchangeable, if you look closely you will see they aren't identical. The 1512 has a lot more things it controls than the 1492

Can low air flow across the evaporator coil cause the high pressure cutout to trip on a heat pump during the summer? If so, how.

No, Just the opposite will happen. If you have low air flow across the Evap. this will cause the refrigerant to "puddle" or become dormant. Causing low head due to evap. frosting or coil freeze up. With low air flow your system is not transferring heat to the refrigerant in the evap. coil, so it (the evap coil) just gets colder and colder, lowering the pressures. Here are things which cause Hi head pressure, dirty condenser coil, low air flow across the condenser coil, air in the system, bent or kinked tubing before the evap. coil. Crushed fins (causing restricted air flow) in the condenser coil. With low air flow across the condenser coil, you can not "cool" the refrigerant, in other words get the heat out, it stays in the refrig. and kind of cooks the system. If your system is shutting off due to hi head, get a water hose and clean your outside coil first. Pull the power cut off, should be right there at the outside unit. turn it off at the t-stat. pull the power at the unit. Wash the condenser coil good. Do not use a press. washer as they can bend the coil fins making things worse. Use a bit of soap in a bucket, fill that with water and splash into the coils let that sit and hose it out. It is best if you can work from inside out (opposite of air flow across the coil, backwashing) but you have to remove the fan shroud to do so. If after you wash the coil, you still have a hi press issue you will need to do more troubleshooting. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.

that back pressures sound high to me and the hi side sound low may have a bad compressor not pumping right should run around 0 to 5 low 125 to 150 hi hope that helps

Unit is several years old but only used a few times. This summer we used it from July to present but it's cooling ability has declined steadily since early August. We use it durring the evening from 6pm...

Potentially could be low on refrigerant (freon) and no access taps are available to check freon pressures,so you would have to call a reputable hvac company to add taps to check freon pressures and if low add charge and look for a leak? Ideally would be to install permanent access valves after recovering freon charge and weigh in required factory nameplate amount.
Probably costly and maybe time for a new one vs. repair? Be sure your coil behind the air filter is clean? and be sure the coil outside is clean? You could take the unit outside and clean both coils with a garden hose but be careful not to over pressurize the coils because the fins bend easy, use an up and down motion not side to side.Let unit drain and reinstall and try

We have a Honeywell RTH230B programmable thermostat installed on a rudd a/c system. Everything works fine except the a/c unit cycles on and off about every 5 minutes.

Probably cycling on low or high pressure switch. You may be low on refrigerant, dirty filter or indoor coil, causing low pressure switch to open or the outdoor coil is dirty or outdoor fan not running at the proper speed causing the high pressure switch to open.

My air conditioner when it gets really hot outside starts to freeze up and does not cool

a\c freezing is caused by two, things poor air flow (dirty filter, dirty evap. coil. or a dirty blower wheel) or a low freon pressure (low charge or a metering device that is not working right). dirty filters and blower wheels are fairly easy. for dirty coils i use a dog brush to remove the dirt from the entering side of the coil. if it is low pressure you need to call a service tech so they can figure out witch problem it is

Pressure washer will not start

Do you get a spark? Take out the plug and leave the wire attached. Hold it close to the metal frame using INSULATED pliers. Have someone try to start it. Can you see a spark? Is the oil OK? Some engines have a low oil shut off.
