When I unplug the printer from my Dell Latitude D610 laptop, the battery icon appears on the bottom right hand corner instead of the "ON AC power" icon and the computers shut down due to a low battery....

Your AC power supply is not providing power - The printer is supplying your laptop with power via the usb port. When you unplug the printer, the laptop runs on battery until it goes dead. You will need another AC power supply,

Good Luck

My DV6000 was hit by a power surge during a lightning storm. It is completely dead. no lights or any indications of power. I have multiple batteries and AC adapters so I know it is the laptop. Is there...

No, there is no fuse.

Is the manufacturer's warranty still valid?
Did you purchase the computer via a credit-card that "doubles" the warranty?
Did you purchase an "extended" warranty from the manufacturer, when you "registered" it?
Did you purchase an "extended" warranty from the retail store?

Otherwise, find the nearest authorized HP repair outlet, and get it fixed.

My 6000 cd is dead !

The problem will either be

1.....The battery supply is faulty supplying the power to the radio from the car battery via the car`s wiring to the connection at the back of the radio.

This can be anything from a blown fuse to a loose or broken connection in the car wiring or plug/socket at the rear of the radio

2....The radio is faulty.

Is there any display or hiss/noise when you press any buttons or turn the volume up?
If no ...and it is really DEAD then there is not a lot that can be done .

If you can use a multi-meter or test lamp you could prove the battery supply up to the radio`s ON/OFF connection.

If you can try your radio in someone elses car ( or try another radio in your car ) that will prove whether the fault is the radio or the car wiring.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The most common faults are blown fuse , loose plug/socket or a wiring connector or loose/broken wire somewhere behind the dashboard

Hi There, You probably have a blown out fuse. Unless your a service tech with a service manual, it may be hard for you to locate where the fuses are. A panasonic service depot could give you a proper estimate.
Thanks, mr cicmo

Dead Sony Laptop

If power supply is supplying correct voltage, then you do not need power supply PCB.

Try starting the laptop with AC adapter and no battery, if battery is shorting out you may get same problem.

Test the soldering joint on the AC socket and laptop motherboard, if there is a bad soldering on laprop ac adapter socket, you get same symptoms.

If it is none of the above, and the adapter is fine, then it is usually a faulty motherboard.

Problem seems in power supply section at VC-516 (main board). If you know how to open and repair it, just check Fuses at VC-516 board and these are located near connector coming from battery / dc-in jack area. One fuse is open in this case.

Is it necessary to load the battery (power supply) when the camera is connected to the computer via USB cable?

Yes. Please use the battery or dedicated AC adapter. For transferring large size of images, using AC adapter is recommended.

Why does the date and time setting screen appear when I turn on the camera?

Turning on the camera while the date and time are not set or after the date and time settings have been cleared due to a total cut off of power (which occurs when batteries are dead and the camera is not being supplied power via AC adaptor) causes the date and time setting screen to appear on the monitor screen. When this happens, be sure to set the correct date and time before doing anything else.
