Question about Samsung DLP HL-P5663W 56" TV
I replaced the bulb of my 4 year old DLP TV twice now. This second time, and now the HL-P5063W (2006 model) seems to make a whining sound as if the fan is not working very well. The bulb might be overheating and I wonder whether it goes off with the 3 lights flashing (after trying to stay on/off a few times) due to some other component failure?
Should I try to replace bulb again? It doesnt seem to make sense.
My guess is that the fan is making noise due to some other malfunction. Any suggestions/ideas will be greatly appreciated.
The most common failure in the DLP that makes a whining sound would be the color wheel. They cost about $135 + labor because I wouldn't advise changing it by yourself.
