SOURCE: I forgot to place my coffee filter back in the coffee maker

Just an idea, but you could use a turkey baster to remove some of the water first. I doubt if you've harmed the coffee maker.

SOURCE: saeco odea does not brew. coffee beans will grind,

Hi...Keep on grinding until the Auto Dosing System readjust the amount of grind to be in the optimum. Normally it takes 3 to 4 grinds. Whenever we change the type of beans, this condition happens, it is not a problem.

Coffee beans grind but water comes out clear. No coffee.

When a grinder is jammed, generally the motor won't be able to spin the burrs to grind the beans. This can happen for a couple of reasons: coffee oils and debris can easily build up in the burrs if they have been left to collect over time.

After grinding, the coffee grounds end up inside the coffeemaker unit instead of in filter basket.

Usually there are two reasons that this happens.

1. Too much water or too much coffee beans. Test by brewing with water to the 12 cup mark, no higher. Use no more than the recommended amount of beans. (If your adding too many beans to get better flavor, try switching to a stronger coffee. I ended up switching to Starbucks and have grown quite used to it).

2. (More common). The coffee filters that your using are too short. Try switching to a taller filter such as BUNN filters. They are made taller and can resist the higher water level caused by too fine a grind.

COFFEE COMES OUT TOO FAST

Try making your coffee a finer grind. The finer the grind of the beans, the slower the water will flow through the beans. Also fresher beans will make the water flow slower due to the moisture and oil content in the beans.

I got this coffee maker from a friend with no instructions, i have no idea how to use it. I am not interested in grinding my own beans, i just need to know about where to put the filter and so on.

Use it by plug the AC cord so it has gets electric power and switch on the power button it should light indicate there is power. Put the filter on its container but twist the elevated cup carefully on right or infront, that the container where you put grinded coffee bean powder. It is where the hot water drips on coffee beans down the glass hot container where drip coffee collected.
That's it I hope I explain it clearly and solve your problem.
