    You posted this question under a Generic category for ALL microwave ovens manufactured by Sharp and listed no model number. As all microwaves are not constructed alike (even under the same manufacturer) it is impossible to answer your question without a model number.

All microwaves has both internal thermal cut out and internal fuse, Yours problem sounds like an open 9 volts transformer that power up the front panel

Check internal fuse. If it's ok, one of the internal door switches, the high voltage circuitry, or the circuit board may have a problem. There is an internal fuse. Be careful high voltages present even if the microwave is unpluged.

GE Profile microwave # nm1851dm2bb lost all power while heating something. Could it be the internal fuse? Anything else?


If you're lucky it's the internal fuse. Otherwise, there's not much other stuff besides the fan that's easily replaced.

yes there is an internal fuse connected to the cord inside of the cover.normally at the connection of the cord.

What internal fuses for goodmans st101ss microwave


the modern microwaves has 2 fuses lines fuse+thermal fuse. You must see the diagram or instr. manual section troubleshooting for indication for specification of fuses. Lines fuses has 240vac and 20amps. Thermal fuses you must see the instr. manual

Most MW do have an internal fuse, most likly a 10 amp ceramic (HRC) You can replace with a glass one but if it blows it could rupture

Dead Microwave - Internal Fuse?


After replacing the internal fuse (see other posts to see how I did it) the microwave is working fine (so far). We have used it 5 or 6 times without any issues.

Fuse in microwave oven keeps blowing


does the fuse in the plug blow or the internal fuse if it blows the internal fuse it could be one of the door switches two of the switches have a red button on them and one has an orange button its normally the orange one thats at fault
