Hi erisshilova,

thank you for using fixya.

with regard to the temp being stuck at 81f, there is a strong possibility that moving the device set it to a preventive lock to keep the system safe. else, the thermostat may have been damaged on the move.

first, you may want to refer to the manual and make sure the device is not locked and set temp as desired.

if this did not help, let me know, we will try to find a way to perform a DIY repair on the unit's thermostat.

regards,

voodoo

the holes are just vents for the machine.

btw, do you recall the unit having trauma while being moved? looks like it has a very delicate thermostat and condenser since it is somewhat considered portable.

I am told that getting a replacement coil for this ac unit would be next to impossible. Where could I find one for this unit.

who ever told you that gave you good advice. IF you find a new coil the cost to insall it will be ... welll .. costly. I am not certain how old the unit is but if it needs a new coil because its been punchered or has corroded . Your mony ahead in the long run to replace it. If its just a small puncture it can be fixed easily .. Hope this helps let me know

Paper jam on right side only

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

My airconditioner is just not cooling the way I feel it should. The thermostat never shows lower than 81 degrees. I have it set down as low as 68 but it only cools to 81

Is this a central unit or a window unit. The central unit does 15*----18 * temperature difference from the air comming in the return air grill to the air going out the supply air grills...9*----to ----14* degree different, and the unit is low on freon,, 15*--18* and the charge of freon is perfect, 19-----22* difference, then the air flow is too low , due to either a dirty filter,, dirty squirell cage blower wheel, and last , but not least, the ac inside coil is plugging up!
