with regard to the temp being stuck at 81f, there is a strong possibility that moving the device set it to a preventive lock to keep the system safe. else, the thermostat may have been damaged on the move.
first, you may want to refer to the manual and make sure the device is not locked and set temp as desired.
if this did not help, let me know, we will try to find a way to perform a DIY repair on the unit's thermostat.
