Question about Maxent Televison & Video

2 Answers

I already paid $19.99 but not sure I got the correct info. I explained that the sound keeps coming up on the screen and going up and down on it's own every few seconds; also the tv menu scatters to the other option when one particular one is checked. Your tech said that it is most likely the audio card and either the entire card is bad or some bad capacitors on the audio card are faulty. Researching for parts, there is nothing called audio card. Can you tell me if the part your tech was referring to could be the video board?

So it is correct that the audio card and video card are the same thing, but are you saying that the problem could be one of three things:  Video board, y board or main board?

It is not the 'Audio card'.

If more than one menu behaves erratically , the problem can be the button board, the IR sensor on TV, or the audio circuits located either on an Audio module, or on main digital controller board.
On many maxent models the IR controller and button board are all in one, here is an example: KEY CONTROL LED IR 11438-1G-2 from MAXENT
Here is an example of Maxent audio module : AUDIO ASSY 11423-1G-3 from MAXENT P420142X1

Those two parts above must be tested, if audio circuits are integrated on main controller, then the main board must be tested.

Here parts for Maxent TV, I do not have your model, therefore I post the whole list.

Yes it is the video card. It would have to be further tested. It is may be "Y" board or main board. Further testing will have to be done. It would be faulty capacitor but testing would have to be done to determine exact cause.

We have error code 09,037.45:62328 and don't know what that means or how to fix it.

- Power down the printer.
- Hold the back button and the info button at the same time, without letting go, power up the printer.
- Keep holding down the buttons until the XEROX logo comes fully to the center of the screen, keep holding for 2 more seconds, then let go. I'll take about a minute or two for the Diagnostic screen to come up, the display will turn blank and black.
- When the Diagnostic screen comes up go to down to the Function or Exercise option, there will be an option that says "clear ISC faults" it'll ask you to press OK to confirm, after you do then you will exit Diagnostics and the printer will reboot.
It should be fine until it happens again. Until all the 8200 ink is gone you will probably be doing this a few more times. Also make sure the 8200 ink is not jammed inside the ink loader, if it is then you have to un-jam it some how.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Xerox Phaser 8560 - error code 09 037 45 108564

Hi there

That's a ink loader error, due to the 8200 ink stick; to fix it:

- Power down the printer.
- Hold the back button and the info button at the same time, without letting go, power up the printer.
- Keep holding down the buttons until the XEROX logo comes fully to the center of the screen, keep holding for 2 more seconds, then let go. I'll take about a minute or two for the Diagnostic screen to come up, the display will turn blank and black.

Blank screen when computer is turned on

When you get the Dell splash screen press the F2 key to get into setup. Use the arrow keys to go down to Drive Configuration and press enter. Go down to Primary Master Drive and press enter. Is the Hard Drive listed there? If not, that is your problem. Press Escape then use arrows to go down to Memory Information and press Enter. Is all of your Memory listed? If not, that could be the problem. Press "esc" to get out of setup. If the Computer does not freeze while in setup I would suspect the Hard Drive is bad. Is the Pointer responding to Mouse movement or does it lock up? In your situation I would first try to Boot from the Windows CD. Write back and I can explain how to do this. If that does not work I would begin to test Hardware. Do you hear any Beeps when the unit is turned on? If you can, E-mail back with more Info.

Backlight faliure

Its a florescent backlight and is an integral part of the LCD screen.
You need to replace the entore screen, not just the backlight.

I hate to tell you this, but unless you can find a screen on E-bay or similar site it is going to cost you almost as much as a new computer.
You can buy a used travelmate 240 for around $200 and drop yyour hard drive into it and be up and running as before in a matter of minutes. Then you may be able to sell the old one as a working base with a bad screen to recoup some of what you paid out.
Good luck.

Sound

You may have your audio presets on your DVD too low. check your menu to make sure those presets are correct. As for Surround Sound it is a sound technique that involves having multiple speakers to give the impression of moving sound, not just hearing from the left or the right as in stereo, but hearing the way you are exposed to in real life sound moves around you this combines the doppler effect from many directions at once, example: as a car move towards you with its horn blowing the sound gets louder as it passes you the sound gets lower however, each of your ears hears the sound diferently, thats how come you can tell if the car is to your left or to your right vs coming straight at you and as it passes you, you can tell if the car is on your left or right from your rear. Surround sound is an attempt to do this without actual movement. I hope this helps.
