Question about Nokia 7250i
My wife broke the screen on her 7250i phone, some of the display was still visible i.e the time. I fitted a new screen, but the new screen has the back light working, but remains blank. Any ideas.
Hi ya the problem will be where the screen conects with the board it is not sitting on the contacts properly or there could be a bit of grease or dust stopping the terminals from contacting properly it will be a case of taking the screen back out cleaning the board where the screen touches the terminals and make sure when you put it back that the screen is sitting correctly in the right possition.
But one thing people forget to do when working on phones is to earth yourself properly by touching a radiator or something that is earthed as any phone repair expert will tell you that the static in your body and clothes can totally destroy a phone.
When i worked for a major phone repair company we ahd to wear anti static gloves and have a wrist pad that plugged into the desk to earth us all the time so we didnt damage the phones when taking them apart let me know how you gwt on ok
