Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I have a Brother mfc-8440. It prints light on the right hand side but great on the rest of the document. I cleaned it out and changed the drum / toner and same problem. What do i need to do?
Usually when it prints light on one side and normal on the other, it's either the drum (which you replaced) a dirty corona wire, or the toner is unevenly distributed in the cartridge. You can removed the toner cartridge and gently drop it from a distance of about 4-5 inches to dislodge any caked up toner. This is normal in a cartridge that has sat a while or if the fax machine is in a room with high humidity.
Hope this answers your question and best of luck.
