Cub cadet not cutting correctly on right side

It sounds like I have a similar problem to fairfield2's. The left blade is cutting very nice and level, cutting almost anything I take it through. The blade on the right is real ''choppy'', cutting some grass, hacking some, and leaving some. If the blade or shaft was bent I would expect a tilted but otherwise even cut from the blade. If the deck wasn't level, I would expect a tilted cut from the whole deck. But the left blade is about as perfect as you could get, while the right one is leaving a real mess.

For anyone else that might have this problem, I changed the belt on the deck that connects the two blades. Although the belt was tight and looked fine, I guess over time they get a little "glazed". My thought is the belt on the right needed to go through twice as much grass (it was carrying the grass the left blade cut as well as cutting the grass on the right). This probably put too much of a load on the right side blade causing it to not run as fast. Changing the belt helped a lot.

I have a cub cadet rzt50 zero tudn. Blades are new and sharp but when i cut there is a trial of cut grass in the center of the mower tracks that is left behind. Mower is only a few years old with 100 hours...

if this started after the blades where replace make sure you have the right blades zero turn and reg mowers have different blades then check the bearings on the blade mandrels then last is to check for a rotted out deck with the belt tension pulling the blades apart

Sounds like a blade is hitting something on my Cub Cadet LT 1042.

with tractor off and key in pocket check blade for straightness if straight then check by moving it up down if loose check retaining nut if nut tight then possible mandrel bearing burnt or shaft bent also check the mandrels are bolted correctly to deck lastly but least likely is a bent deck

try checking to see if perhaps the blade is bent if not blade maybe the spindle or possibly the bearings are bad on the spindles causing them to not run true, also are all tires inflated properly good luck

Cub cadet Z Force 48 inch zero turn blades won't engage

I hope this will help you...under the side panels on each side of the mower, there are "reverse lockout safety switches", they are supposed to stop the blades when both handles are pulled back. If one or both of the switches are out, the deck will not engage. Also, under the right side panel (when sitting on seat) there should be 3 relay switches, the one closest to the motor controls the PTO., if this is out, the PTO will not engage.
