Need to ask about the remote, lost booklet. While

I have heard that Emerson remote codes work on that brand. if you have a booklet use those codes. if you dont have the booklet, try these codes - 003, 013, 012, 030, 046, 050, 051, 049, 077. Still no luck? try this site - http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-remote.pl?mdl=RMV310 I have noticed codes tend to be the same across multiple remote makers so it may help you. Lastly, if all else fails, just google your remotes maker and go to there site and look up the manual program option. with it you just hit the power button until it works!

Use the Built in Code Search and never look for a code again!!!

1 Turn on the device (e.g. TV, VCR or DVD) for which you wish to program.

2 Press and hold the "Setup" button in the middle of the remote, under the "On/Off" button. Hold the button until the indicator light on the top left corner of the remote lights, then release the button.

3 Press and release the button with the label of the device you wish to program. The indicator light will blink before remaining lit.

4 Point the remote towards the device. Press and release the "On/Off" button every two seconds until your device turns off. (You may need to press the "On/Off" button up to 250 times before the correct code is found.)

5 Press the "Enter" button on the lower right side of the remote control when your device turns off. The indicator light will subsequently turn off.

You can do it one of two ways, you can enter a code, (for a Westinghouse TV, normally use the Sony codes) or you can scan for channels. To scan you can normally enter a code sequence which will come in your booklet when you install ATT, you will need to enter the code sequence and scan using channel up until your TV turns off. One the TV is turned off, you will need to press the TV button on your remote and your TV is now programmed. you need to supply the SONY TV model just do a google of any URC booklet and then look uo the ctrl codes for your TV it has little to do with the brand of the remote

Is it Comcast? With our cable box came an instruction booklet with codes for different brands. We tried two or three before finding the right one.

I can't find the instruction booklet we had, but you might find one on your cable company's website.

Great News!! We can program most Philips Universal Remotes with Automatic Code Searh. Here's how it works on most of our remotes.

Programming with Code Search

1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.

2. Press and hold Code Search button until the red indicator stays on. Release the Code Search button.

3. Press and release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blink, then stays lit.

4. Press the Channel Up button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device could be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press the Channel Down button to backtrack through the library until the device changes channel. Pressing Channel Up changes direction to forward again. Press and release the Mute button to install the code.

The above assumes that you want to store the VCR you want under the VCR but, Cable codes under the CBL, etc

Note: if the device does not have a chat channel at a button, you should Play (VCR only) or Power instead.
