Where can I bring my shredder to be un jammed I have an embassy shredder. Is there a store like staples or office depot that can repair it.to much paper in at one time.

try shredding a old card, carefully but forcibly push the jammed plastic strip through the teeth.
might be faulty alignment of teeth, a factory defect!

You have to remove the top cover. Look under the top and remove screws. Gently lift top and do not stress the connecting harness. carefully remove paper shreds. Unplug of course!!

Ativa shredder X1800 - shredder does not respond. green light present. Reverse works fine. I killed it with too much shredded paper.
Unplug it. Lift the shredder unit off the catch-bucket. Remove any paper caught in the blades. You may need needle-nose pliers to pull jammed paper out from between the cutters.

Hi, when my shredder is plugged in it says "door open overheat" what door is this referring to? Also, one of the wheels is broken, where can I get a replacement bin with wheels?
The door you are referring to would be the paper door on the shredder. As for the wheels, ask someone at staples, or check for a similar wheel at home depot, and see if you can replace it.

For the ID Armor ID-XC200D, where should I place the shredder oil?
You don't use liquid oil. At the office supply stores they carry oil sheets that you insert just like shredding something. They come ion various pkgs. Staples and Office Depot stores carry them. They are universal, no model number needed. I hope this helps.

you can buy oil at office max or staples or you can cheat and use sae 20 light gear oil , or pnumatic air tool oil from ace hardware

Staples SPL-1506X
Well, despite the manufacters warning label I choose to take the shredder apart and found that one of the plastic gears was broken. Hence the motor runs, but the blades do not turn. The thing I didn't understand, the there are metal gears and plasic gears...I can only imagine that the plastic gears at one point or another are going to give. I would suggest not to void the manufacters warrenty, take the shredder back, and get one that is built a little stronger. Hope that helps.
