Question about Samsung SGH-D900 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Unsupported file format

I've transferred files from PC to phone, but could only copy them to 'other files', rather than 'My Photos' or 'Music' - why can't I put them into those files? Also, when I try to access the music files that I have transferred to my phone, a warning message appears on the screen 'Unsupported file format'. What do I do?

Re: Unsupported file format

The problem here could be that the images are too big or it isnt one of the file types associated for D900 (wav files are usually not supported), and hence they are being moved to other files. And the same reason goes for not being able to open them.

When I tried to transfer some files from the phone to the laptop , the error msg'ox80042009 error'showed, and the file failed to be transferred form the phone to the pc . My phone is sony xperia z ,

The best way to do this is to simply bypass any software on your PC. Connect your phone, open my PC or Windows explorer, search for your device, navigate to the files you wish to copy then open up another session of either explorer or my PC and paste into the folder/ location.

You can copy to your device from tour PC in the same way, just reverse the sequence I.e music, photos, files etc.

How do i install itunes onto my samsung omnia 2

You cannot directly install iTunes on a Windows based phone - you do have various options, however. You can install iTunes on your PC and download music to your PC and then transfer the tunes to the phone using either file transfer, Windows Media Player or Windows Media Centre, or you could copy the music onto a microSD card and insert that directly into your phone.

Note that if you transfer music from iTunes, you may need to "translate" the file format into WMV or MP3 format befoer transferring it to your phone.

Transferring photos

the reason is that the file that supports the viewing of such files on the f400 and the s3650 are not the same.therefore to view the files you would have to convert them to the type that the s3650 is compatible with before you can view them. good luck

Unsupported file format

You phone will only support certain file formats.
Go to Samsung and get the manual Click Here
The owners manual will tell you what music files, video files, picture files are supported by the software.
Then you may have to convert your files to work in your phone.
