Check your wiring harness on your Gateway and see if it will match up to your new board. If the wiring harness will match up then you can install the board. However, you will now have a custom built computer in a Gateway case.

I have an intel dz77re-75k motherboard, can i use the EVGA geforce gtx660 with it or will it not fit in the gpu slot? Im looking for a good gpu to play games like Skyrim with at there highest setting.

There are two 'GPU' slots.

Two blue - PCI Express x16 slots, and based on the PCI-Express 3.0 technology.

Put it in PCI Express x16 slot 1, which is closest to the CMOS battery, or also can be said as closer towards the Processor.

The GTX660 should clear the motherboard chipset.
(Intel Z77)

I believe what you need to be concerned with, is the length, and height of the graphics card,

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Signature-Graphics-02G-P4-3664-KR/dp/B009T3LKNA

10 inches Long, 1.5 Inches Thick, and 4 Inches in Height.
(254mm Long, 38.1mm Thick, and 101.6mm in Height)

Measure inside computer case.

(Graphics expansion slot)

I have a Gateway 503gr desktop. When I press the on button, the computer shutters but does not turn on.

I suggest the power supply is bad. Your Gateway 503GR uses an ATX style power supply. The style found in about 90 percent of desktop computers.

(Click on Components. Then click on Power Supply in the list)
http://support.gateway.com/s/POWER/102015/102015nv.shtml

Uses a 300 watt power supply. I suggest Tigerdirect or Newegg, for a replacement. If your computer is dirty inside, I also suggest cleaning it out.
Use a can of compressed air for computers, WITH the computer unplugged from the surge protector.

I have a P5VD2-MX motherboard, currently I have a Geforce 7900GS.

Hi!

Since there is 1 PCI Express x16 slot you can use any PCI Express GPU, like Asus GeForce GTX 260 896MB PhysX CUDA, EVGA GeForce 9800GT 512MB PhysX CUDA, Gainward GeForce 9800GT 512MB PhysX CUDA or whatever you want as long as it is a PCI EPRESS card.

Good luck

Nvidia geforce 9500 gt gpu work on asus p5n73-am

Hi!

Nahh...you can use that gpu with that mobo, but i wouldent recomend it. The GPU - Requires NVIDIA HybridPower™- enabled motherboard, and that mobo dosent have that. It might work but you cant use the full power of that gpu on that mobo. And beside that, that gpu is bigger then the mobo itself
I sugest you to buy another mobo, the gpu you looking at is a good one but your mobo isent that good.

Here is the spec for the GPU:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_9500gt_us.html

And here are the spec for that mobo:
http://shopping.msn.com/specs/asus-p5n73-am-motherboard-micro-atx-geforce-7050/itemid1060345734/?itemtext=itemname:asus-p5n73-am-motherboard-micro-atx-geforce-7050&fulldesc=1

Good luck
