Question about Soyo P4X400 Dragon Ultra Motherboard
I also have the same issue though I previously had this board up and running with a 1.8 p4 borrowed from another machine for testing purposes.
Fast forward years later I am again building the same board and having no recollection of the specs I found one review that claimed it supported up to 3.06 p4's. I bought a 2.8 and high density ram that according to the sellers site worked in this motherboard. I get no video though all fans run, cd drives appear to boot and hard drive sounds like it normally does during a boot cycle. I believe I agree with the p4 2.4 max comment and am looking forward to, uh, downgrading to one. I would like to know the Celeron range as I may move into one of those as I believe they came out after the p4. How do they compare in mflops? Anyone?
I am currently running a TigerDirect now Compusa Dragon build kit with this Mboard and a Celeron 2.4 in it with 1.5GB memory and Windows Vista Ultimate. Just Know that if you upgrade to Vista, the on board sound card will not work. You will need to search for new drivers to get it to work.
