Check to see if AUTO HIDE is not enabled in taskbar settings, move your mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen if enabled the Startmenu and taskbar will re-appear, if not then it was possibly resized accidently, move your cursor to the bottom again if it turns into two arrows pointing up and down then click and hold and drag up and it should be revealed again.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

No start task bar in safe mode

It sounds like explorer.exe is being turned off. When you log in to Safe Mode hit Ctl+Alt+Del to bring the Task Manager and see if explorer.exe is running under Processes. If not, you can go to the Applications tab in Task Manager and click the New Task button and simply type in explorer.exe.
If this does not give you your Start Menu and Task Bar then you need to take your computer back to the repair service and have them fix it properly this time. Otherwise, you'll have to reinstall the operating system.

Blank screen

A white blank screen? That sounds like the virus changed your display settings. Click Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to the task manager. Press and hold the Ctrl key plus the Alt Key then hit the Del key. When the task manager opens up Click File at the upper left corner of the window then select New Task RUN. When the create New Task Window opens type: explorer.exe and hit OK. See if it starts populating your desktop icons and shows the start menu and task bar. If so, the virus changed your settings.

To change your display background click Start/Control Panel and look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. When it opens select the Desktop tab and change the desktop background. Hopefully the white will go away.

You may have to get into Safe Mode to do the above if the virus disabled the Task Manager.

MENU BAR IS GONE...PUFF, GONE

Press ctrl+esc to see if the start menu pops up, if it does not then proceed by trying the following steps below.

Make sure explorer.exe is still running:
Press ctrl+alt+delete to get into Task Manager and do File -> New Task -> explorer.exe -> OK

Otherwise check to see if your task bar is auto hiding:
Move the cursor to all four edges of the screen in an attempt to locate the hiding task bar. If the task bar does pop up, right click on it and press properties. Proceed by unchecking Auto-hide the taskbar under the Taskbar tab and pressing Apply and OK.

If all else fails, try rebooting the PC.

I don't know what caused it, but my start menu, desktop and taskbar don't appear anymore after bootup. They appear only in safe mode. I've run antiviruses including the latest Dr Web CureIt and...

Hello it could either be that you have shortened the task bar or its on auto hidden type CTRL + ESC that will bring up the start/task bar right click the task bar and check the settings make sure that auto hide is turned off and that the task bar is unlocked and resize it if you can.

Hope this helps.

Task bar is missing on bottom of screen after pc wakes up.

mine does this with windows 7, right click on desktop and open 'personalize' then open 'taskbar and start menu'
From here choose to move your taskbar location to the side of the screen and click apply. it should return, then just tell it to go back to the bottom.

My taskbar does not appear when I am viewing web pages

It sounds like you have your task bar set to auto hide. I'm not too familiar with this brand of laptop but if you are using windows you should be able to follow these instructions to fix this. If you know how to get to the control panel (start menu) and click on appearance and themes there should be a task bar and start menu icon there. Click on that icon and select how you want your task bar to be displayed.
