Question about RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 Smartphone

Blackberry 8310 charges,but doesn't connect with pc.

Blackberry 8310 charges, but when connected to computer, it says usb device not recognized. Whats wrong with my phone? Is it a hardware or software issue?

It is not a hardware or a software issue it could be a problem with the UBS port on the handheld or on the laptop or it could be a problem with the USB cable.

Issues charging using USB and Computer


solution is to install only USB driver, so that PC recognizes the Blackberry correctly, and can also charge the device accordingly.

Try and download usb driver for windows xp or windows vista

Blackberry 8310 will not sink with computer. plug in to USB port and get Device Not Recognized. BlackBerry said it must be bad USP connector on the phone it's self. Trouble started after setting up...


Try a different usb port even another computer to see if its your phone or the computer. if you have no luck you can try the jl commander option to wipe your phone and then try to reconnect it but this will lose any un backed up data. Also look in the usb port and see if any of the prongs look bent pushed out of place or missing. if this is the case the phones only chance to connect is via bluetooth


If desktop manager will not recognize your phone then download JL commander (google search it) and select the wipe option then try again.

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.

My blackberry curve 8310 was dead this morning when I woke up. I plugged it to the charger and charged the battery. The phone will not turn on. It tries to but will not boot up. I switched out the battery...


I hope battery is working fine,so try connecting this phone using USB cable to computer, and check wheather computer is recognising your device.still if its not working then you can go to nearest service center.

Unable to download from computer onto blackberry whats wrong


U need a SD card to transfer files to the Curve just buy one format it to fat32 on the PC and install.

On 8310 the MemoPad may be located in the Applications folder on your Desktop. My phone is not recognized by my computer via usb port.


You may have to go to blackberry.com and download updated software. Install the new software before you plug it in.
