The fan moter is humming , but the blades do not rotate and the light works.

Hi jfitzmaur84...
It sounds like your fan has dry bearings and not allowing the fan to rotate.
Sounds like you need to disassemble the fan and lubricate the bearings with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil.

Where are the bearings that need oiling on my oil furnace motor dayton 8U386?

There may not be any access ports to these bearings...
Most new motors today do not expect to be lubricated in their life's expectancy.
If the bearings are designed to accept oil, there will be either an obvious hole on the top side, (so that gravity can pull the oil down into the wicking or packing box..)
If not-- there is no way of 'oiling' them--

So-- Are you having problems, that tell you that you need to lubricate these bearings?
Like squealing or squeaking-- or 'dry' sounds when the motor slows down?

Tell us more!

I have a Craftsman brand shop vac [model # 113.77420]. It is still picking items when I sweep with it, but it has developed a very high pitched squealing sound whenever I turn it on. The sound makes it...

I have the same problem with a CTC Shop Vac. It's he bearings ... they're worn out and dry ... no lubrication. I've trid taking the motor apart and lubricating the bearings, then it runs super for a few uses but then the squealing starts again. Oitch it and buy a new one.

My dryer is screeching and squealing, dries fine but sounds like it is going to die.

Sounds like your bearings are dry on the shaft. Unplug unit. Remove the rear panel. You should be able to access the center shaft bearing. Using a good general purpose oil, such as 3-in-one, carefully lubricate the shaft and bearing allowing the oil to penatrate. Wipe up any excess or spills. Also check the belt tensioner pulley. You should also lubricate the shaft on it. Reassemble the unit and test. You should have eliminated the problem. Let me know if you need any more help.

While drying for short time the dryer starts to squeak

Probably a dry bearing
.You would have to gain access into the dryer to establish which bearing/s it is.
You would then need to see if lubricating the bearing/s, would cure the squeak..
If it does not, then you may have to fit a new bearing/s.\
Hope this helps.

I have the Sharp Quadra air purifier tower. I clean it

Sounds like a dry bearing in the motor.

If you are handy, you could try and get to the fan motor and lubricate the bearings.

I wana fix the whistling sound coming from the serpintine belt

you probably have a dry bearing, or the bearing is losing its lubrication. Make sure that the sound that you are hearing isn't normal belt noise.

Repairs can be done by yourself. Remove the belt, remove the idler pulley, and take to local bearing shop / machine shop / automotive shop to have new bearing installed.
