Hello Solution #3 Guest. Do you have the receipt that shows what they replaced? Mine turns on, and I can see a faint glow so I believe it is not a backlight, but, I have nothing on the screen. Like something internal is not sending a signal anymore. I put it on another computer and same problem. No dialogue box or anything.
Thanks, D

Try hitting the button that changes the dysplay output. it probably sensed that there was an external monitor and switched toexternal and it had been ever since and you have to tell it to change back. its a small square icon with two lines on the sides

Yes these Monitors encounter problems:
1. Bad Inverter
2. Burned out Backlight
3. Power supply issues
Sounds like your inverter board is bad and backlight will probably follow!

My ds lite will turn on and you can see the screen above but the bottom screen stays white. You can touch the bottom screen and it appears to respond to some interaction. What can I do to get things...

if you feel confident enough to open up the ds check ribbon cable is tightly in the connector, the clasp that hold the cable has a littke brown flip hinge on it and is quite fragile so take care.

You will have to gentley push the screen up towards you to find the riibon cable connecter. If the cable seems fine then the screen probably needs changing, but the screen is made up 2 parts, the screen and the touch screen membrane which lies on top and held in place by a bit of adhesive.

You have to seperate them by gently prizzing them apart, if you dont feel confident doing this you can buy replacement bottem screens fully made up, but it would be a shame to do this as the touch mambrane part of the screen seems like it is working. hope this helps a bit and good luck

Color noise suddenly appeared on screen, blacks show blue noise lighter colors yellow noise

You may have a poor connection with your LVDS cable which connects from the internal main board to the screen. This will either need to bre-seated or replaced.

If it's working fine in DOS, it can only be your display drivers for your operating system. What happes when you start in SAFE MODE? When you PC starts, keep pressing the F8 key, go to Safe Mode. If it works, bring the Resolution down to 800 X 600 and load the new display card drivers. Restart, should be fine.

WS55711 mitsubishi RPS - Dec 2002

This sounds like your convergence correction amplifiers have malfunctioned. These Integrated Circuits often burn out after a few years (STK392-110) they can be replaced with a higher version (STK392-150) However it is important to have the biasing circuitry checked to make sure nothing has burnt out as a result of the ICs malfunctioning. If you have a background in electronics you can repair this problem with very little effort, however if you do not have a background in electronics, I would suggest that you have your TV serviced by a qualified TV technician.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,
