Question about Canon PowerShot A630 Digital Camera
Last night some of the kids in our youth group were flipping the display screen back and forth and now it won't show the preview image -- it can't serve as a view finder. But it still shows the image after it's been taken and whenever in play back mode. When the camera is on, unless playing back through pictures, the screen is just black.
Sounds like they accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of the camera. This manually turns the screen on and off to save batteries. You would then use the optical viewfinder in its place. To turn the screen back on, just press the DISP button one more time with the camera turned on.
