Thats usually caused by the power supply having bad capacitors. It could be the power board itself that needs replacement if the caps all look good with no swelling.. If you need a power board you can get one from www.tvrepairworld.com

Okay, what does that light indicate? (hard drive activity, power plugged in, battery, etc). It most likely indicates a faulty power supply or damaged battery unit.
