Question about Belkin (F5D9230-4) Wireless Router (F5D92304)

BELKIN G Plus Mimo USB Adapter

I have recently purchased BELKIN G Plus Mimo Router and USB Adapter. The problem I am having is that after a short time (maybe 10 mins or so) the USB adapter becomes inactive and connection to the router is lost. To resolve the problem I simply remove the USB adapter and insert back into the USB port. I am using XP SP2 and the built in XP utility to control the wireless connection as I couldn't get the BELKIN one to work. I was wondering if I need to change the settings somewhere in XP or perhaps there is a know problem with the adapter or driver?

Any advice would be gratefully accepted

Trying to create a bridge with two routers

You do not need a bridge if you are using a wireless adaptor on your pc in the other room. Just set up the Belkin Plus router to the WEP security settings you want and make sure the pc wireless usb adaptor has the same settings as the router. You should be good to go. Good Luck.

Connecting to secure network

when enabling wireless security the router and adapter must be both be configured and configured in a fashion that both support. If you need help provide confirmation of your wireless router's manufacturer and model and the same information for any wireless adapters or computers with built-in wireless adapters to be wirelessly connected.

Check all other wireless devices within the range of the router, cordless phones, cellular phones, etc.
Change the wireless channel on the router or possibly the other wireless devices.

2nd: check the Keep Alive setting in the router configuration if you have DSL. Set this accordingly
