Have you tried a different card? Is there a "lock" feature in one of the menus? Is the card capacity too large for the camera to recognize? Read your owners manual to see what the maximum card size you can use in your camera. Some cameras, only a couple of years old, maxed out at 2 gigs.

When i turn on the camra it says on the screen that ''card protected '' and i'm unable to take pictures,, so,, what do i do

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

I lost my installation disc for my polaroid i1035 camera. can i download it? or what are my options? Its been over 6 months since purchase. thanks.

You can download pictures from your camera to your computer by using a memory card reader

You can use your computer's built-in memory card reader, if it has one, or you can purchase an external memory card reader as shown in the attached image

To do this, kindly remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into a card reader. Connect the card reader to the USB port of your PC.

Now, the memory card will be shown as a 'Removable disk' in "My Computer". You can browse the images and copy the images to your computer.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

Tells me all 4gb SD chips are "Card Protected"

The i1035 uses SD cards. Your 4GB cards are actually SDHC cards, which are not compatible.

I have a Optima SD 8GB memory card for my camera and when I put it in it says "card not supported" "card not Protected" what can I do?

Sounds like your camera does not support SDHC (HC stands for high capacity), SDHC looks the same but they are actually different. And for "card not protected", that should not be a problem, since when a SD card is protected (if you click the little button on the side to the lock position) data cannot be written not deleted. So the solution is to use another SD card that your camera supports.

Take the card out of the camera and on the right/ left hand side there is a hole, little button that will slide - Slide it to protect/ unprotect your pictures then put the card back into your camera.

What memory card will the polaroid i1035 accept?

That all depends on whether or not the camera slot is big enough. It also depends if the card is the correct size. The card should work if it fits inside the camera.
