I have an ONN ona17av048 portable dvd player. I put a usb drive in with a mp4 movie. Only the sound plays. Why? How do I get the picture.

After some experimenting, I have found that the TDV-98FB4 player will play files from USB if they are encoded using MediaCoder and the video output is set to MPEG-4 inside an mp4 container, or if the video output is xvid inside an avi container.

Will DVD Players play MP4 files?

Copy any video file like AVI, MP4, MKV,WMV to USB drive, plug the USB drive and select USB and play it, should play movies

Insert the DVD into the Xbox DVD tray then close the tray.

There's really nothing special you need to do.

you have to use an MP4 converter.

then just create a new folder in the root directory named MP_ROOT, and then make a folder called 100MNV01 in there. So your .MP4 files should go into E:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01, where E:\ is the drive letter of your Memory Stick

the dvd player will be the cheapest, one time fee, then after that you just need dvds, the psp will be good for more than one thing, making it superior to the dvd player, and then theres iphone. well, with a monthly fee, it may not be what your looking for. but if you need a phone its the best..
