Hi folks! My Aspire One crashes just after the black screen that shows windows xp loading. After that screen, the blue screen of death comes up for about 1/2 second then the computer just turns off. I've tried safe mode. I have tried alt-f10. I have tried alt gr - f10. when i use alt f10, i see the recovery system working, but after the bar at the bottom fills up, the computer turns off. I'm thinking it's a lost cause.
This article may help you....or these.
If you can turn off the auto restart to get a stop error code from the blue screen, that will help you to diagnose this error. See 'disabling restart..." here. Then reboot and note the exact error code reported. Write back with that info and we'll help you to sort it out.
You can look up codes here.

I had the exact same issue the blue screen error would stay up a fraction of a second so after about 25 times of trying to read it I got smart and just took out my handy handy cam and videoed it until it popped up for it's mili second and then I went into the video and frame by frame as I got close and found the error
