Clear the cmos(bios), you must unplug the battery on mainboard(if you are an expert and you can open the laptop) for 10 hours (or short it) then power the laptop.

I have had trouble with mine. Maybe try taking the battery out & leave it out before you power on.

Charge isn't consistent. Orange light flashes instead of remaining on when charging.

Hi,
Are you using the original ac power adapter, or one that is designed for use with your model to ensure that it is fitting tightly where it plugs into the laptop at the dc jack?
If so, the dc jack could be broken, which could prevent the battery from charging properly, resulting in the flashing amber light, which is indicating that the battery is still low and needs recharging.
Another possibility is that the battery is defective, but the more likely problem is the dc jack since it is such a common problem.
You can find a replacement dc jack here.

check the power cord to the laptop in the back wiggle it. check the lights. if they come on and go off with you giggling the power cord. the ac input socket may be broken. you may have to wedge it in one spot to get the two lights to come on let it sit there a while 20 min to charge battery some then turn on laptop.

Power up question

Besides the amps and volts for the laptop, did the connector actually fit snug into the power connector. Only cause if it doesn't it will have intermittent connections, leading to a flashing lights. How did you plug the cable out of the laptop. not by hard yank, hopefully.

Let me know

My toshiba satellite a135-s2276 won't turn on

A coworker used to work for Toshiba and said that this is common for the Satellite A135 models and under warranty the fix was a motherboard swap for a newer/updated motherboard. Otherwise the unit is unusable.

:-(
