Question about Garden

Need exploded view/parts list for string feeder head on Stihl FSE 60 electric lawn trimmer. I think the ''bump'' feeder head has a spring missing, and can't find an Exploded view to check on which part(s) may be missing. Any ideas? Thanks, ~Bill~

Need to view schematic for Stihl FS130 String Trimmer

there isn't really any schematic we can give for a list of part numbers but any dealer anywhere should be able to find what you need. Just give them a call and tell them what you have and what you are looking for

Missing the user's manual for Homelite ut20635r trimmer sold by sears

within the bump head (once opened) you will see add arrows, this indicates which direction you add the line, usually opposite to each other, you will have line hold points (4) within the cup. once you have fulled the cup head with line (octupus needed), thread each line through feeder holes and push line into housing making sure you pull line out through the feeder at same time as pushing into head. pold the hell out of everthing or it will go haywire. Vrey difficult, but after about 300 tries at it, you will still go to the dealer to do it. If you can make any heads or tales of my solution..good luck but its how you do it. Regards Russ

Need new bump head or full bump and feed unit

You can find some string heads and string head parts for your machine at Home Depot. They have a universal type head and heads made especially for Ryobis and Homelites (I think). Otherwise, several online vendors sell parts for your machine (but you have to pay shipping).

How do I replace the nylon cord on the Stihl FSE 60 - manuel does not give instructions.

Howdy, depending on which head you have, there are different loading options. Here is a diagram of the types of head you might have on your FSE 60: <br /><br />http://www.stihlusa.com/trimmers/blades.html <br /><br /> (just copy this into your browser's address window and hit return to go to site)<br /><br />You might really like the prefilled spools as they are the easiest to use, but the head that just takes 2 pencil lengths jammed in holes is nice for more rugged cutting jobs, and is still pretty easy to refill.<br />Hope this helps some:)<br /><br />

New spool only lasts a couple of minutes and is gone

The majority of the time excessive string feed is caused by one or a combination of one or more of the following:

String wound backwards. Seems simple enough, but happens to the best of us.
Missing or improper spring, or some other missing part.
Lubrication ANYWHERE on the shaft or inside the bump head assembly. With the best intentions, lubrication inside this mechanism will cause continuous string feed. This item should be clean and dry..but never lubricated.

If you know the model number on your particular trimmer, that would assist in troubleshooting.

I hope this helps.

The trimmer head on my Black and Decker cordless trimmer/edger seems to fall a few mm and the won't spin unless I push it back up the shaft. This is the second time I've had this happen in a unit after...

You probably have lost your return spring which will hold the head tight to the trimmer.Check to see if you have lost the spring. I would suggest looking on-line for a exploded view with parts list to see if you have any parts missing including the spring I mentioned first!
