SOURCE: Unable to get head of whipper snipper

After much mucking around I noticed a hole in the top shroud of the shaft. I placed a narrow screw driver through the hole until it made contact with the rotating part of the head and pushed until the head would not turn. I thern applied pressure clockwise until the head became loose. I did the reverse to tighten. The head of the unit will rotate anti clockwise to tighten as the shaft rotates clockwise during operation. I hope this explains the method.
Thank you any way for your interest.

SOURCE: my fs 45 whipper snipper is starting but running

I have a Stihl FS 45 and have had problems with it running for a short time then cutting out. The problem is like to be either- the filter attached to end end of the fuel pick hose that goes down into the fuel tank is blocked or- there is a crackor split in the corrugated section of the fuel pick up hose between the fuel tank and the carburettor. If such a crack or split exists it will cause air to be sucked in with the fuel upsetting the fuel/air ratio. A new hose not adjustment is the only cure

SOURCE: homelite whipper snipper is hard to start and its

I took mine back to Bunnings and the guy there said they had a number with this problem and have found that priming the bulb 20 times not 10 as per the manual, is the fix.

It certainly fixed mine

My stihl whipper snipper loses power and cuts out when i try to rev and apply throttle.

With 2 strokes I always start with 'AIR' 'FUEL' 'SPARK' from the sounds of it the choke might be stuck on (choking the motor ha ha) also check the air filter, You have fuel and its moving through but the fuel filter might be slightly clogged. As its starting and going on low your spark unit is ok but you might need a new spark plug.

Ryobi grass ranger 22c whipper snipper. Wire has come off throttle adjustment so when I press the yellow trigger it doesn't rev. Just on idle. Still works, but takes longer and not so good on really...

The throttle cable can easily be replaced onto the throttle lever of the carburetor...if the end of it has not broken off. The end is dog-legged and quite thicker than the main cable. If you put it back on, make sure it is routed correctly, not binding anywhere, hanging up or interfering elsewhere.

My 2 stroke whipper snipper won't start

As with all 2 stroke engines,
1. Pump the fuel plug. 3 -5 times.
2. Turn the stop botton onto start.
3. Choke onto hot.
4. Pull the cord . Most important... dont touch the throttle trigger when pulling the cord. Wait until until it starts up.
If you do. (like it says in the instructions, your flooding the engine)

Works every time for me on everyone's whipper snippers.
