You have a 25 watt UHF mobile the top two pins are 12 volt in pop off the cover you can see where the red and black wire go. I should have some of those power cables if you need one

Where is the diagnostic port located on a 2000 fiat marea

on a 99 2.0 model you will have 2 diagnostic ports. both of them will be the fiat 3 pin type.

to connect the 3 pin fiat connector to a 16 pin obd2 connector you need 4 lengths of wire. use 3 lengths of wire to connect the 3 pin connector to the obd connector. also use 1 length of wire for power to the obd connector.

on the 16 pin obd2 connector use the following pins
4- chassis ground (connect to ground on 3 pin connector, or any good chassis earth)
5- signal ground (connect to black wire pin on 3 pin connector)
7- k line (connect to white wire pin on 3 pin connector)
16- 12vDC (connect to battery positive terminal)

Under the Link and Resources heading, in the blue banner to the right, click on - Motherboard Manual

Page 32 of the PDF file. Page 2-10 for the manuals actual page,

2-7 Connector definitions:
Power Connectors

"A 24-pin main power supply connector (JWP1), and three 8-pin CPU PWR connectors (JWP2 / JWP3 /JWP4) on the motherboard.
These power connectors meet the SSI EPS 12V (Volt) specification.

In addition to the 24-pin ATX power connector, the 12V 8-pin CPU connectors at JWP2 / JWP3 / JWP4, MUST be connected to your power supply.

Warning: To prevent damage to the power supply or motherboard, please use a power supply that contains a 24-pin and three 8-pin
power connectors.

Be sure to connect these connectors to the 24-pin (JPW1) and the three 8-pin (JPW2,JPW3 and JPW4) power connectors on the motherboard.

Failure in doing so will void the manufacturer warranty on your power supply and motherboard."

So there you have it.

YES.

Hi Greeneyedbj,

What kind of I/O connectors are you looking for *********** board sir?

pcsyke_138.jpg

The image above has the following for your I/O connectors.
1. Three usb headers up to 6 additional devices, most casing can support 2-4 pins. 2. Front Audio Connector. 3. Front Panel Connector. Power Sw, Reset Sw, Powed Led, HDD Led

Branded casing has the following I/O connectors.
1. Esata 2. Firewire (Dont use the USB headers, firewire use a different pin-layout) 3. Chassis Intrusion Alarm Header.

Hopefully this information helps.
You can ask for more help.

Most motherboards now have a 24-pin power supply connector. If you haven't already found a diagram showing the pinouts of the 20- and 24-pin power plugs, here's one borrowed from a handy site:

pgh_pa_guy_1.jpg

The two plugs are essentially the same, but the 24-pin version duplicates some voltages on the extra pins. The extra pins in the larger connector were meant to provide extra current paths for voltages that see heavy loads from newer processors and motherboard circuitry. Depending on how a motherboard is designed, it might work with a 20-pin plug connected (leaving pins 11, 12, 23 and 24 empty). But typically if the board has a 24-pin connector it needs the 24-pin power supply plug.

Most power supplies have a 20-pin plug with a separate 4-pin section that fastens to it for connection to a 24-pin mobo connector. It typically has one side designed to slide onto the end of the 20-pin plug, essentially turning it into the 24-pin version. This added plug does not have a retaining clamp on its side, so you can tell it from the the 4-pin CPU power plug. The wire colors are also different. For reference, here is the processor power plug, from the same website:

pgh_pa_guy_2.jpg
New motherboard specs call for the separate processor power connector for the same reason the extra pins were added to the power supply connector: to handle the high currents needed by increasingly faster CPUs.

When the motherboard has these connectors, you need to use them all to get everything working. Hope this helps. Thanks to smspowersupply.com for the diagrams, and thank you for using Fixya.

Motherboard has a 24pin connector for the power supply, but the connector on the power supply has a 20 pin connect? How do I connect it correctly

i presume that is a pentium 4 or newer motherboard. you will need a power supply that has at least one or two of the small four pin connectors as well... generally if it has that the extra four pins slides onto the 20 pin connector on one side and that makes up your 24 pin connection.

Hmmm.... mainly you have:
-20 or 24-pins connector, that is unique and goes directly to motherboard (powers motherboard and its components)
-4 or 8-pins connector that powers CPU
-the rest would be connectors for ROM (CD/DVD/BlueRay) and HDD devices (there are: molex and sata power conectors)

Is there a power button cable connection adapter for IBM P4 motherboard to Biostar mother board?

if you mean that the power connector is a 3 pin socket connection and the pins on the motherboard are not in line and the middle connector hole is in the way, simply snip with scissors the end connector hole and seperate so you have a 2 pin and a 1 pin and just connect the 2 pin and use as a single connector because you wont need it and connect the 1 pin that you cut away to the other terminal
