It sounds like your TV is on the wrong input. Look for a button that says input or source. Depending on the TV this will either provide an onscreen menu to select an input or it will simply scroll through the inputs. Turn on the Sky box and run through the inputs until you see something that looks like your Sky Box.

Sky put the USB ports on the boxes in case they wanted to use them in future. They are there but not active.
Bit like the eSATA socket on the back, it isn't used yet but they had ideas to use it!

I guess if they had to replace boxes all over the country to put a USB in would have been a bit of an issue for them, so best they fitted one from the start...

Turn Off the SKY box power and leave it off for 30 mins. Put the card back in to the box and turn it back on. Also make sure your phone line is connected OK. If this does not cure the problem contact SKY for assistance and possibly a new Card. They are also replacing all the viewing cards at preasent.

When you take Freeview from Sky its called FreeSat. You have to order the card from them by phoning them (click on link below for more info) and when you get the card follow the steps they give you to have it activated which takes around 30 mins to do.

Is there anything mentioned about cable accessible via the remote ... assuming you have one that works for the unit?

demand afix since you have a subscription. remember the sceaky wheel gets the greese. call every time you get a chance. check your fire wall and permission settings
