Question about Iomega 1TB Desktop USB 2.0 Hard Drive
I added a 1 tb iomega network drive. My XP laptop can connect to it but my Vista machine can't seem to see it. The iomega is plugged into the back of my wireless router. My Vista machine can get to the internet just fine through the same router, but can't seem to see the network drive.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!
You need to connect to the IOmega drive using windows xp and add a user.
In the explorer view in Vista at the top click on Map Network Drive.
At the bottom click "Connect using a different username" and enter the credentials that you created earlier.
In the box above for the location type in "\\IOmega's IP Address\Folder that you want to map".
Click on connect at the bottom should be done straight away and then you should be able to see it in "Network Places" as well. Let me know if this fixes the problem or not.

click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
