Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

SOURCE: camera thinks memory card is locked

check the pins where the memory card enter, if they are all there (not bended) go to canon site and download the latest framework.

P.S, mack sure to use the right SD Card type as the camera is compatible with some types and with a limited size only.

SOURCE: My camera just says

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts write-protects the card, locking it. The position nearest the contacts enables write, unlocking it. If the slide is already near the contacts, try sliding it fully away and then fully back.

If that doesn't work, try a different card.

SOURCE: will my canon ixus 60 take a 16gb memory card

Yes. The IXUS 60 was designed to work with SD cards. Cards larger than 2GB are actually SDHC (the HC stands for High Capacity) and will not work in this camera.

SOURCE: is canon digital IXUS 55 compatible with 4gb SDHC

The maximum amount the Canon sd450 can support is a 2gb card, anything more and you 'll just get error problems.

Camera is not taking out no pictures on display screen marks memory card locked

It sounds like the memory card has its little locking switch in the locked position. Take the card out of the camera and move the small switch on the side of the card to the opposite position. Re-install and you should be good to go.

Please see the following blog article, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue:
