Cleaning the mirrors in the optics would most likely the cure this. however on some machines like Ricoh this is a symptom of a bad drum.

How to Put on Eye Shadow

Achieving Smoky Eyes.If you're looking for a way to play up your eye color, go smoky. A smoky effect makes eye color pop and creates a dramatic evening look. Read on to learn how to create a flawless smoky eye.

Create a smooth canvas for eye makeup. First, you'll want to apply a primer to your entire face, including the eye area. Then apply a concealer to get rid of redness and dark circles. Finish off by applying a moisturizing foundation to create a flawless canvas.

Apply eyeliner. Use a black liner and draw a line across the upper lash line. When you get to the middle of the eye, make the line a little bit thicker. Choose a lighter-colored eyeliner and line the bottom of your eye. Smudge the liner with your finger to create a smoky appearance.

Apply two colors of eye shadow. In order to select the right products, check out eye shadow reviews. You'll want a color palette that has both a light and a dark color, such as L'Oreal Paris HiP Concentrated Shadow Duo. Use the lighter color as a base and blend the color all over your upper lid. Then, apply the dark eye shadow, starting at the lash line and blending upward.

Shadow copy

Need a little more info but if you are using a laserjet printer shadows or duplicate images usually come from worn out rollers in your fuser. Depending on your model fusers are available by themselves or as part of a maintenance kit. Replace the fuser and that should take care of the problem.

I have a new bulb but am getting a dark shadow around the edges of the picture. The bulb seems fine, but the shadowing is covering about half the screen. Any ideas?

The light tunnel under the colorwheel has collasped. This is a major repair. I have known some to glue the tunnel back together, but it requires patience and skill and the right kind of glue....

Black and white negatives produce scans that show too much contrast......any suggestions?

1) Decide which problem is the worst: shadows too dark or highlights too light. 2) Run your scan with Nikon 4 software tool "Digital DEE" adjusted for EITHER Shadows or Highlights (not both; Highlights setting will "trump" a Shadows setting, even though you have a non-default setting at all DEE sliders). Generally good choices for Shadows are 39 to 55. (39 = lighten the shadows a little; 55 = lighten the shadows a lot.) Experiment; do several scans. Generally good choices for Highlights are about 17 to 42 for amount and about 4 to 30 for threshold. (17/4 = dim the highlights a little; 42/30 = dim the highlights a lot.) Again, you have to experiment to get some experience. 3) When in Photoshop PSD format (After first doing a Levels adjustment): Try using the Adjustments/Shadows and Highlights tool to AGAIN brighten your too-dark shadows and/or tone down your highlights. (I.e., the effect is cumulative on top of your Digital DEE effect. But Digital DEE is a more "magical" feature and is somewhat preferred to PS's Shadows and Highlights tool. DEE, however, will often produce an annoying "light smear" [bright area "dragged" into an adjoining darker area]. In case of a "light smear" from DEE, do not use the tool; too hard to fix. Use PS's Shadows & Highlights tool instead.) 4) Proceed with other PS adjustments such as Curves, etc. 5) Still not satisfied? Go to Levels again and look at your histogram. Is it really "stacked" to one side or the other (a mountain way over at the left or at the right)? You might want to try the rather severe command of Adjustments/Equalize. This "spreads out" your pixels more evenly across the histogram. Note: this is a scary adjustment that requires misc fixes to tone-down certain aspects of the Equalization adjustment. No free lunch, right? 6) After experimenting with the above tools, you should be able to get a handle on too-contrasty pictures. There will be a learning curve.

I have a problem with my ricoh FT3613

As your machine analogue it will suffer greatly from dust build up on the mirrors and this will cause dark copies and shadowing particularly bad on the edges.

Turn the power off. Remove the glass and carefully clean the mirror with a cloth. Do not scratch the mirrors and try not to move the lower mirrors as in some copiers they can cause it to go out of alignment.

It may be other things but this is the most likely and the only one you can fix.

Dark shadow on right side of picture

sounds like a shutter leaf dropping into the image. however, they are usually horizontal and more likely to manifest when in landscape mode. (horizontal, normal)
try using flash pointed up to ceiling.
also, could need to check for auto sync speed setting. usually 1/125 to 1/60. if its off, it could be catching the shutter in the wrong place.
check manual for settings for using flash.
