Installing a ferrel on the shaft prior to club assembly will strengthen the shaft at this vunerable point. Your swing might be a bit steep at impact and this puts tremendous stress on the shaft.

My Bosch dishwasher SHX 46a 05uc will not pump the water out when done with the wash cycle or rinse cycle

Hello,

1 Remove the pump and drive motor. You willfind two plastic and one rubber motor couplings. One is located on the drivemotor and the other is on the gear case with the rubber coupling between them.
2 Pry or break the old couplings off with your screwdriver. Replace with newcouplings. Simply push one onto the shaft of the gear case and press the secondone onto the shaft of the drive motor.
3 Line up the holes of the rubber isolation coupling with the studs in thecoupling. Push the rubber isolation coupling in place.
4 Push the isolation and coupling on the drive motor making sure that theholes line up with the studs on the other coupling on the gear case. · 5 Reinstall the drive motor and then snap the pump in place with the retainersto hold it in place. Reconnect the hoses with the clamps and snap the.Put thewasher back on and screw the back in place. Position the washer where you hadit before and plug the washer in.
Good luvk and thanks for using fixya.

Wont spin

Broken coupling. Why you may ask do I know this? Easy. the motor not only drives the washer, is pumps the water. How? It has the pump mounted on one side and the other side connects to the transmision and that is the week point. At that point between the motor and tranny is a coupling. The job of the coupling is to transfer power from the motor to the transmission. It consists of 3 parts. It has a central black piece to house the fingers of the 2 outer pieces. Start by replacing the 2 outer pieces. Install them flush but not binding to motor and to the tranny. I use a nice fitting wooden dowel. It keeps me from forcing the endpice past the end of the shaft and binding. binding ain't good. Each endpiece has 3 fingers. I place the endpiece on the tranny at 12 oclock. I place the end pieces on the motor at 11 and 2 oclock. I make sure all 4 motor mpounts are snug and I snap the motor down to the tranny using the clips provided. I snap the pump on. Replacement of that old coupling is complete. In order to do this operation the cabinet of the machine must be removed. Their are several good sites that show how to remove the cabinet. I like this one my buddy Jimbo made on replacing the clutch. Now you probably will not be replacing the clutch any time soon but this guide shows you how to get to the coupling.

I have had 2 Shark irons and both simply stop turning on

The cost of repair is more than the cost of a new one. Therefore, trash it and buy a new one.

Coupling broke

I have a Dremel 395 Type 3. Motor works fine, shaft doesn't turn. Took it apart to find that the white plastic or nylon flex coupling on the shaft had crumbled and the spline driver, which fits directly over the motor end of the shaft was somewhat worn. I emailed Dremel and got an overnight reply listing the 2 parts I need and the cost: Coupling is $1.00 and the driver is $1.25. Placed order by phone: 1-800-437-3635. I ordered 2 of each in case future replacement is needed. Total bill came to $7.27 including Florida tax and shipping. Can't beat that. They said it would be in the mail by tonight. (Flex coupling number is 2615294309; spline driver is 2615294308.)

The blender coupling on my oster snapped in half. I have the replacement part already I just cannot figure out how to get the broken coupling off the base of the motor. I also got a replacement square...

10-01-2009 Sara - see solution for rlaymon 1-9-08 "Top part of base broke off" by TanyaCS on 1-20-08 - good ideas. I just fixed mine - 2 hour job + half hour to put a new cord in. Like TanyaCS my broken coupling was rusted to shaft - used WD-40 twice and let sit - meanwhile took out motor and removed fan - kept screws and washers in order on workbench (kitchen counter) - the fan hole is "D" shaped - fan end of shaft also "D" shaped - I filed a "flat" on the other side of the factory "flat" (side of 'D' that is straight) - Used big pliers on broken coupling and adjustable wrench on on the "flats" on fan end of the shaft. Broken end came right off. New cord is 18 gauge extension cord capable of at least 6 amps. Cut off the un-needed end. Or order a replacement cord $4 when you order the rubber drive coupling $4, pin with slinger washer $3. Bet you also need new rubber feet - didn't buy for mine - wish I had. Bert
