Question about GE (PSS26MSRSS) Side by Side Refrigerator
I HEAR IT HUMMING, BUT THE 'FORK' ON THE BACK OF THE FREEZER THAT ENGAGES WITH THE AUGER IN THE TRY DOES NOT TURN THE AUGER.. AND THE AUGER TURNS WHEN I DO SO BY HAND. I TRIED CLEANING THE TRAY OF ICE, AND THAT'S NO PROBLEM.
Sounds like to me you need to A) find a reverse threaded nut to tighten over the fork or B) weld the fork to the nut.

Remove the ice bin . Use a hairdryer , directly on the fork on the back of freezer . Try pressing the dispensor pad ocassionally , to see if forks unfrozen . When they do , reinstall the ice bin , and lower the freezer temp slightly .
