Timing of the mow board - Garden

Are you sure this is what you want to do. Timing belts drive the camshaft on a 4 stroke engine and if you remove it the engine will not run. Are you sure it is not some other belt that you want to remove.

no i jus install belts the engine is all that to be timed

I would check the plugs and make sure they are not fowling out or replace them. Check the air filter as well.

Sounds like you're timing is off this unit have a timing belt or timing chain it might've jumped to the valves may be opening two early or too late hit in the Pistons

I would check your timing marks you may be off 1-2 teeth either direction as these gears tend to shift during instalation

Besides the drive belt, there is a timing belt inside the mowing deck. The left blade is run by the timing belt. I imagine the timing belt is broken.

I am not sure what time of lawn mower this is, but if the blade is directly tied to the motor, usually the belt will just slip if not, but if this is directly connected to motor, it might have jumped timing. If this is not the case, inspect under the mower deck, and determine if there is something jamming the blades against the deck or if their is something bound around the blade, this can cause more strain on the motor, which could result in the symptoms your experiencing.

You may need to adjust the timing, 'either' on the spark plug, or the adjust the gap between the magneto and the contact.
If the timing is not on the correct setting, the engine is liable to overheat.

oil pump maybe going bad throwing timing out a bit,this would cause a governer malfunction keep pushing it the timing belt will fail that's if this engine is similar to the triad 16 hp horizontal shaft,not sure about vertical

you need spark, gas and timing to make it run. have you checked spark? sounds like you are getting gas. did you hit anything hard with the blade while mowing? this can throw it out of time.
