Take it back, it may be under charged.
We did that. And, I checked it myself. Somewhere I read that when the compressor goes bad, it can cause another electrical component to go bad. Can't find that link anymore.
No if it runs at all the circuit is fine, and that is a fantasy about the other component. Check at what pressure the AC compressor kick off at, it should be 28-32 PSI
OK. I will check it again. Maybe need to vacuum and recharge.
evacuate is a absolute must, at least 30 minutes.

Get an estimate from a Ford dealer. Your problem may not take all the parts that Goodyear wants to put in. The dealer has recall info and may work with you to keep a Ford customer. You say your compressor went bad, but that may be the result of a problem and not the cause.
You can also try independent shops rather than franchises. But you may not know of any. Sometimes I ask at Police stations if I need help for reliable service places.

Sounds like your ac system in low. To get the compressor to engage you must find ac resistor (usually under hood with fuses) and cross connect circuits. Most time right to left corners, you can hear and see compressor clutch engage. Now, fill system with proper refrigerant.
Once charged, compressor will=should cut on and off properly.

The first thing to check is the pressures in the ac system. If it is too low on R134 the low pressure switch will prevent the compressor from turning on.

The center dashboard panel, which holds the climate control system, etc., must be gently pried up. Start at the bottom and work your way around. Once this is loose, disconnect the electrical connectors and the panel can be removed completely. The light bulbs are marked Gray and Black and are freed by a turning slightly. I think the only place you can get the bulbs is a Honda dealer.

OOPS ! Now, it sounds like the A/C relay is constantly on. In the power distribution box by the battery, try swapping another relay for the A/C relay (which turns the compressor on), and see if it now stops. If so, buy a new relay. Good luck.
