Some dryers have a switch thats attached to the tension pulley for the belt. if the belt breaks the dryer wont start. if the rug got stuck it probably broke the belt

I have a Samsung Dryer (DV218AEB/XAA) and it is not providing heat. I recently had the laundry room painted, so I needed to move the dryer away from the wall...the next time I went to use it, it wouldn't...

Check the circuit breaker for the dryer. There are 2 of them side by side with their handles joined. Sometimes one will trip but not the other. This stops the heating element but not the rest of the dryer.

What is the bruning rubber odor - new dryer!

Im not familier with that particular machine but it sounds as though bits of the rubber backing you talk about has flaked into tiny bits and moved beyond the drum and into the workings of the dryer moter and heater. Contact with these will produce the smell and slight risk of fire.
The back of the applience will need to come off and cleaned out.How you accomplise this is up to you!!. If you have some one who is very handy at this sort of thing then grt.otherwise leave it to a proffesional. Obviosly compressed air gun is the way to do it.

I was drying rugs and one of the rugs got caught and the drum stopped turning. The power comes on but the dryer drum will not turn.

Hello, one possible cause of dryer drum not rotating is the rugs stuck between the drum and front panel.Secondly, maybe the dryer belt dispart.

LG DLG2532 Gas Dryer will only dry on manual setting

If you use dryer sheets, LG recommends no.  Dryer sheets cause a film that will not allow the sensors to feel the clothes moisture during the drying process thereby causing the computer to countdown the timer quickly.  To clean out the sensors, use a green pad and scrub the sensor bars inside the dryer drum.  That should remove the film left by the dryer sheets.
