My LG front load washer is only filling with water from the cold inlet. The hot inlet hose is warm to the touch, so I know hot water is available. What could be the cause and the fix?

It can be the Hot water inlet valve or the water inlet mess filter at back of unit on the water hose.

SOURCE: LG WM2487 front load washer spews suds out of port on rear.

You are likely using too much detergent or the detergent is not high-efficiency detergent. Change detergents and/or lower amount and this problem should go away.

The water port on the back allows air inside the tub to escape. However, if the wrong type or quantity of detergent are used, excess suds will flow from this port.

SOURCE: Front load kenmore washer will not fill on rinse cycle

yes you should have both hot and cold hooked up. if that is not possible splice the line you have and y it into both inlets. thats not the best way to do it but will solve the imediate problem.

SOURCE: I have a kenmore elite H3 washer. The cold water

Check the inlet valve solenoid wires for resistance with an ohms meter. The cold and hot solenoids should have close to the same resistance. My washer had a weak solenoid causing the hot water valve to close after 4 or 5 seconds. While checking the solenoid wires for resistance with the ohms meter, I noticed the cold side had 51 ohms but the hot side only 8 ohms. Hope this helps.

Check to see if the screen inside the water-inlet valve is clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If it's clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, completely replace it.

What is problem code IE and how do I fix it on my LG front load washing machine?

An IE error code will appear if the washer has not filled with water in approximately 8 minutes. If an IE error code appears on the washer, check to make sure both hot and cold-water taps are open completely. After both valves have been opened, unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle. if this doesn't help then there are filters on the inlet hose connections of the washing machine. They are intended to filter away mineral deposits from hard water and other debris from getting into the unit. If clogged, water will not flow through these filters into the washer. Turn off both the hot and cold water taps, disconnect the inlet hoses from the back of the washing machine, and clean the inlet filters gently but thoroughly. wm_inlet_filter_removal(1).jpg
Hope this helps.

No warm water coming out of the clotheswasher

Turn the cold water valve about half way closed or maybe more to allow enough hot water to mix with it and make it warm

Tub filling with water after cycle is finshed

If your washer fills with water, usually slowly, after the cycle is over you have a inlet water valve which is not shutting off completely. LG usually uses a separate valve for the hot and cold. If you turn off the valve where the hose comes from the house and observe for continued water fill, first one, the reopen it, then shut off the other you should be able to see which (hot or cold) is the culprit. If you post your exact model number I should be able to list the part numbers for you. The inlet valves I am speaking of are the part where the hoses connect onto your machine.
