If you have the two ends of the wires then they will have the same colors and you will have to put them back together. add new piece of wire if needed and make sure that they are secure. you can use plastic insulated connectors or solder them back together and use shrink tube to weather proof, soldering is the best way for a good connection to any wiring job.

Get yourself a test light and figure out what harness wire does what when the switch is activated. Then figure out what wires control which movement to the mirror and match them up.

Have you tried looking online for a wiring diagram? Often, they are available through the Internet. Otherwise, a repair manual or the dealer may be your only choices.

How did you repair the wires? Sometimes the sensors for this will freak out it the resistance is outside what the computer is expecting. You may want to think about doing the solder, and heat shrink replair

There are fuses on top off the headlight switch.

There is a button on the side off the switch housing you push to remove the knob and handle. Then remove switch from dash for access.

They are there because they did not blow very often.
