How do I adjust the side burner flame on a Weber grill?

The burner has a fixed orifice, but there may be an adjustable air shutter (to adjust more or less air) at the end of the venturi tube that inserts over the orifice. If not, also try removing the gas valve knob and see if there is a small screw inside the shaft that you can adjust the flames. Most stoves have these. Also be sure the burner hasn't been spilled on. it may just need to be cleaned for a proper flame.

Our Uniflame Grill has a round outer burner and a round inner burner. The outer burner has a large orange/yellow fllame. The inner burner has a small blue flame. Is it normal for the inner burner to...

Bob, your wife is partially correct. However, both burners should have blue flames with orange tips. Cleaning the burners and the their venturi valves, should solve the problem. When I say cleaning them, I mean removing and cleaning them.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

sounds to me like your other burner isn't getting the same amount of gas flow. what you need to do is give your grille a good cleaning and check the lines for any leaks. you will always smell gas so it will be hard to tell by smell alone. Test your lines by wrapping them tight with foil or something removable and turn your grille on to see if the flame gets bigger.

Not enough gas/flame.

You probably have water in the burners. If you can get one burner to light, let it warm up the grill and maybe it will dry out the others.

check thermo coupling., its purpose is to keep heat at flame area-helps keep flame lit, like a pilot light... clean it with a finger nail file LIGHTLY- or use sand paper LIGHTLY, just to clean surface..

Can not adjust flame.

It sounds like the grill just needs a good cleaning, plus when you do clean it check that the burner tubes and orfaces are free of any debris.
The orface is a tiny hole inside a small brass threaded insert where the gas blows through into the burner tubes, it is very critical that this is clear as well as the burner tubes.

The gas is coming through, but does not light.

I have the same grill, and sometimes the same problem.First, with the gas off or completely disconnected, remove the grill grates and the flavor bars from the grill. Now you can see the heating element.A small wire brush will do the trick.Gently clean all the little holes in the element where the gas comes out. Then, with compressed air or even canned air(like what you use to clean a computer with)blow out the holes you just cleaned.Reassemble the grill and light.Should work fine after that.
