Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

My swimming pool transformer is putting out 11.4 volts to a new 12 volt light bulb. It is not lighting. There is an extra wire on the transformer that can be used putting it at a 12.6 volts. Will the higher voltage of 12.6 burn out the 12 volt bulb if I try wiring it this way?

Will my new LED malibu lights work with with my ML200RT transformer? They use considerably less wattage than my old bulb type lamps.

Malibu puts out 12 Volt AC without specifying type of bulb
If new bulbs work on 12 Volt AC, then they should work
http://waterheatertimer.org/Malibu-power-pack-stopped-working.html#install

Wattage on bulbs should match power pack wattage, or damage can occur to power pack.
Buy new power pack, call Intermatic, or Try it out and see if it works

2011 ford feista se brake light out on drivers side. Running light and blinker work. Have replaced bulb and socket with same results what do I do now?

Did you try the passenger side brake bulb in the driver side socket (maybe the new lamp is bad)??

If it works, then the problem is either a bad ground connection / wire at / between chassis and the shell of brake lamp socket, or bad 12 volt wire at / between the common passenger 12 volt brake light wire in the harness to the center contact on the brake lamp socket.

My suggestion is if the brake lamp wire is ONLY for brakes - not the directional too, simply add a new wire spliced into the passenger side brake light wire and extend it to the brake light wire closest to the new socket that you recently installed on the driver side. Disconnect the vehicle brake wire from the new socket and wire nut it off or tape it up (so it can't short out if it somehow becomes energized again) and splice this new wire to the new socket.

Test & you're done!

Have Malibu ML300RTW Transformer...

Doesn't seem to me it could be the transformer/controller as it either puts out voltage and current or it doesn't. I can't think of any way it would selectively operate certain bulbs. You said wiring is fine, but you should check voltage at the end of the line to ensure it's getting close to 12 volts all the way down the wiring. If not, there may be a problem between transformer and misbehaving bulbs. Doesn't seem likely that 5 bulbs would go out a once, but that would be all that's left.

My experience has shown that this is nearly always a connection and/or wire corrosion issue. Be certain that all connections are clean-if not clean with fine grit sandpaper or replace. Remember these devices are exposed to the weather on a continuous basis.

12 volt lights not running on shore power ,just running off battery. but 120 outlets working fine.

check the fuse for the 12 volt system. Check wiring for the 12 volt side of the transformer and check if you are getting 12 volt out of the transformer.

Question posted under T10004RT3 pool panel with transformer.

If the pool light inside the swimming pool is out, but bulbs are new, then those lights receive power from the transformer. Check if transformer is humming and putting out 12Volts ac.
Check that bulbs are rated for transformer output voltage.
Replace transformer with 119T340 or 119T267.

If the 120Volt lights are not working, then these usually turn on-off with a switch. Check the switch

Power into unit ok power comming out of unit is very dim.

If you have a volt meter, check the voltage, I believe it is supposed to be 12 volts.
Are your bulbs the proper voltage rating, that is 12 volts.
Do you have enough bulbs connected to the transformer, connected load should be close to 121 watts when you add up all your bulb wattages.
Don't confuse volts with watts. The transformer reduces voltage to 12 volts, but the wattage of the transformer is 121 watts. Each bulb must be 12 volts but wattage (brightness) can vary depending on the fixture from maybe 7 watts to over 50 watts.
