You need to calibrate the printer by doing the following:

1. Open up Kodak AiO Home Center from the desktop.
2. Click the "?" on top right corner and go to maintenance.
3. Click the "calibration" and follow instructions.

Photos are not printing to correct size

May i know the model # of the printer.

You can also try this. When you click on Print button and the window pop up - Click on printing preference and check the Size of paper in the Advance/feature tab.

If you find any other size you dont want, set it to the correct size you want it to print.

IF you want to make these changes permanently, Click on START Button and click on Control panel and open Printers folder - Highlight the printer icon and right click on it and click on printing preferences and change the paper type.

At school there is a printer the Dell 5100cn laser printer and we need to print labels and each time we try it asks on the computer if I want to continue because they are outside of the standard margins,...

A5 is a European paper size standard. Your label making program is telling the printer that the program needs that size label paper. You have to tell the printer to use that size paper. It may be somewhere in the menu of the printer driver on the computer or it may be on the display window on the printer, or it may be as simple as flipping a tab in the paper tray. As far as the printing outside the standard margins, most printers will allow a certain amount of that without a problem. Just tell it yes or Ok. If you solve the paper size problem and it hangs up when you tell it to print outside the margins, then the printer is not compatible with that label format in the label printing program. You will have to choose a different format. I recommend that you select a label format that is a US standard like 3 across on 8 1/2 x 11 paper.

Our printer CP3505n is having trouble recognising paper size although it is standard A4 this then results in a jam

Try specifying the paper size in the drivers. When you go to file print; click on either properties or printing preferences and change the paper size to A4.

After every page I print, the green light goes out, and I have to press online to get it to continue printing.

Thats ..paper size mismatch, check the paper size settings of your printer in printer properties is the same as what document or document program is set to under page size of the document you wish to print, if these dont match the printer goes offline so you can put in what it's been told is the right size paper or press online to force it to print in your case check paper size in both locations and you should be right, there are other things but 99% of the time..thats ya baby;)

34 short paper

The printer does not auto detect your paper size and so when your Legal size document was printed on Letter size paper, you get a 34 Short Paper message.

if you have a different size/type paper in trays, just choose auto tray from printing preference, you only have to put right paper type /plain/thick ..... and the printer find it self the right tray

Paper size is incorrectly set!.....

Merlin's idea, of what paper Lex has, and Lex's are different or you have loaded Lex's tray with the paper sideways

Your in Oz so it would be A4 standard and I guess your trying to print B5 script. Try these

The printer has been loaded with one size paper but thinks it is another. change printer settings via keypad on printer

The B5 scripts paper is being loaded sideways instead of length ways or visa verse

There is a incorrect setting in the printer driver that is set up for this specific printer that 'merlin' uses, check print driver setting (control panel, printers and fax, right click on lexmarkt642's icon, properties and check properties fully) in windows software that is running under merlin, also check merlin settings if any for this printer

Margins not recognised

Hi lerona - I have a 5600C series HP printer. You might try these tips:
Do a Print Preview to be sure the document looks right on your screen, then in Print Setup, down in the Zoom box check the Scale to Paper Size to be sure it isn't set for the wrong paper size. There's an arrow to scroll to the size you're printing on.

Then click Properties, then the Paper Quality tab. There's an item that says "minimize margins". You could try printing with the box checked (if it's not now), or unchecked (if it IS now) and see the difference. Click the Effects tab and be sure the "normal size" box says 100%, and that there's no check mark in the "borderless printing" box.

I print documents all the time, as well as photos, smaller sized items, cards, etc., and have had no trouble with the margins printing differently than my Print Preview shows on my screen. I hope these tips help you. Good luck, and feel free to email me if you have any success with my suggestions.

Small photo paper

have you set up the paper size in the printer options when you press print, as it should pop up in a window before the print whre you click ok, asking what quality and size paper, but if you don't tell it it will assume that you are using standard A4 or whatever your standard paper size is.
