I've owned my Samsung LN-S4092D TV just over a year now and it has started exhibiting multicolored horizontal lines that extend across the entire screen and appear at different points on the screen depending on the input signal. Each line is about a pixel wide.
EX: A 720p input has several of these lines bunched together near the bottom of the screen and several other are bunched toward the middle.
A 1080i input has several more lines than a 720p input signal
An SD signal (cable/ antenna/ DVD) has lines bunched together at the top and bottom of the screen.
These lines appear on every input the TV has. Has anyone experienced this type of problem before?
Thanks
Open up the TV and unplug and re-plug the connectors to the circuit boards. This is most often caused by a poor connection of the circuit board connectors.

SOURCE: Blue/black vertical line in the middle of screen
Sounds like a bad connection on a ribbon cable or plug comming or going to the LCD display. This is something you should not try to fix as these circuits are very very fradgile and you can easily break or tear a ribbon cable . Call the manufacturer to get a tech to assit you. Good Luck

This should be repairable. It may be the LVDS Cable or the Main board problem. The only other problem is the T-Con Board.

Hi andrew, its not a big problem.. Decent TV. but the pixels are DEAD. that means you have to recover them by fixing the LCD. this would cost you around £40-60 for a 32 inch TV. hope this helps!
